If you are a dedicated coffee fan you will surely have heard of Mr Coffee. Mr Coffee of course is the brand name behind one of the words most successful coffee maker manufacturer's. In fact they invented the automatic drip coffee maker in 1972, which would replace the old percolator method of making coffee. The people behind Mr coffee definitely know a thing or two about coffee making.

I am a dedicated coffee addict. I love coffee and I love coffee makers. In the last 10 years I have probably owned about 12 different coffee machines, they are my weakness. I bought my first Mr Coffee coffee maker about six years ago and since then I have owned another three, so I do feel qualified to talk about them.

Mr coffee are dedicated to producing good-quality, value for money coffeemakers. Their designs may not be as elegant as some other brands; however the quality of coffee that they produce is right up there with the best, and the most expensive. In terms of overall value for money I consider them to be one of the best coffee maker brands on the market today.

It is important to remember that these coffee makers are in the mid-range price bracket. Of course for a lot more money you can get a better coffee maker. I have bought expensive machines in the past that could not compete on quality with Mr coffee coffee makers. Expensive doesn't always mean good. These machines are designed to be economical and easy to use in today's modern lifestyles. They may be priced at the lower end of the market but they certainly punch above their weight in terms of the quality of coffee they produce.

When buying any coffee machine it is important to consider the availability of replacement parts. Some brands seem to make this extremely difficult, as if they would rather you bought another coffee maker. Some carafes are very easily broken and it is important to be able to replace these without buying a new coffee maker. Mr coffee parts are very readily available and reasonably priced. From carafes to coffee filters you will be able to buy Mr coffee replacement parts easily.

So now we know where we stand in terms of the brand Mr coffee, it’s time to look at a few of the models on sale today. As with any coffee maker brand some models will stand out as winners. I recently bought the Mr coffee single serve coffee maker so let's start there.

I must start off by saying that the Mr coffee single cup brewing system is not for everyone. It is designed to be quick and convenient to use, and to deliver a single cup of gourmet quality coffee. I decided to give this go, just for the convenience. I use it in the mornings for my first cup and have found it to be very useful indeed.

 The quality of the coffee that it produces is great. It is quick, convenient and really easy to use and is perfect when you're in a hurry and do not want any hassle. The downside is that as with all coffee pod brewing systems it can be quite expensive per cup compared with traditional coffeemakers. If it is speed and convenience you want, then this a great machine and the price tag won't hurt you.

The Mr Coffee JWX27 KV 12 cup programmable coffeemaker is a traditional style drip coffeemaker. Priced under $50 it is great value for money, makes great coffee and is very user friendly. A good feature is the automatic shut off after two hours – I always forget to turn off! It’s not the most up to date model from Mr Coffee, but it is reliable and good quality.

This coffee machine represents just about the best value for money on the market today. It makes great coffee, is easy to use and at under $30 what’s not to like! It has many of the features you would expect from a much more expensive coffee maker such as - it’s programmable, automatic shut off and internal cord storage.

The most important thing to remember about Mr Coffee coffeemakers is their value for money. They are relatively cheap and yet deliver good coffee. Of course for the more serious coffee drinker, other brands have some superior models to choose from – but at greater cost.

Bunn coffee makers for instance have some superb machines, undoubtedly better than Mr Coffee. But as with many things in life you get what you pay for. If you are starting out into the coffee maker market I would definitely recommend a Mr Coffee coffee maker to get you going and if you use it enough, then upgrade to a more specialist coffeemaker.
