Having recently received the Kodak Pulse Digital Picture Frame as a gift, my whole opinion on digital frames has changed. This frame is so much more than just another picture frame, it will forever change how you manage your digital photos. The management features of this digital picture frame combined with sleek looks and easy use will make this a great success. It looks great but it performs even better.

The Kodak Pulse I was given was the seven inch version. It has its own internal memory for storing your photos. Having a frame with its own memory acts as an extra backup for your media storage and it means the frame can be handled separately from your PC. It comes with 512mb of storage which is enough to store about 4000 photos - more than enough for most of us. If you feel you need more, you can add to the capacity using a USB memory stick or one of two SD card slots on the frame. By using the digital photo frame to store all of your pictures you can free up space on your PC hard drive and you now have a place to see your photos. So often photos get saved to the computer, never to be seen again.

The Kodak Pulse is very easy to set up and it is Wi-Fi enabled so no need for cables every where. When you first set up the frame you do so by connecting through the Kodak website. The process is explained well and very easy to follow. Through the connection with the website you can upload your photos and set how you prefer to have them displayed. There are many different options you can try out. Try random display or set it to show pictures in a certain order - the options are many and varied and easy to set up.

A unique feature with the Kodak Pulse digital photo frame is that when you get started the frame receives its own e-mail address. You can send pictures directly to the frame via e-mail, Facebook and even from your mobile phone. This is great for sharing with friends - you can set your frame to receive photos from friends and relatives and it will even notify you when new photos arrive.

The frame has a very good quality touch screen interface which makes control very easy. Many of the features and settings can be accessed with the touch of your finger. You can flick through photos with a swiping motion on the screen. There is also a timing feature to reduce energy use by setting the display to switch off at pre set times, every little helps!
